lifestyle of giving oneself

Love - defined as a noun - the LIFESTYLE of giving oneself so completely to a person, place, or thing and to expect nothing in return regardless of consequence or personal desire.

You do not choose love, it chooses you. Once this principle is accepted, the rest will follow.

I personally agree with this definition (granted it is my personal philosophy of “love”) but struggle tremendously with it.

willingness to serve another person

Filed under: Significant Other — Tags: — Ryan @ 2:35 pm

Well sir I’ll help you out and tell u what i think about love. My definition of love is the heart and minds willingness to serve another person.

For ex. I hate feet with a passion they r so nasty especially to touch them but one day my g/f accidently stepped on some sticky….thingss in the grass with flip flops on and she couldnt walk or reach them so i had to pull all of them out of her foot but it took a sec for me to do it cause i was thinking of how much i hated feet but because i have my definition of love for her i did it anyway.

This definition doesn’t just apply to physical acts it applies to everything, no one is perfect and if that one special person ask u to change in this area or that would u love and respect them enough to serve their wishes?

I don’t know…..but thats my story good luckwit ur experiment.

through thick and through thin

Love is giving of yourself and allowing others to give you part of themselves - the most secret part of themselves. Love is holding each other dear all the time: through thick and through thin. n49706172_32464442_98321

Dustin and I have been together for about three and half years now. He is the one person that made me wonder why any other man ever existed on earth. He knows me sometimes better than I know myself. He knows how to push my buttons, and at the exact time he knows how to make me smile even on the worst of days. We can go to any restaurant and pick out each others faves even if the other is not present. We can have someone ask us a question and know exactly what the other is thinking. I never want to live a day without him (i’ve been known to wake up from nightmares crying because in the dream he was no longer in my life). He is in every last one of my future plans. I’ve come to the realization now that I don’t make plans without first considering him or consulting with him. Love has impacted my life in every way imaginable. I have finally found that missing part of me. I have found that link that makes me feel complete. He makes me feel absolutely wonderful.

The first picture in this note is one of my favorites. I captured it one day while we were playing around. It was one of those many moments that he was being silly to make me laugh after a tough day. This picture kind of exemplifies our core. We love to be around each other and play around. Some people can’t stand how we can get around each other (they say its mushy), but it is who we are. We are so in tune with the other and often forget those on the outside. He is my everything, and I love him with all that I am.

The last picture is also one of my favorites. He just happened to turn right when I took the picture. n49706172_31322315_9805
